Victoria in Focus at the next Cutting Edge

Victoria has had a glittering history in gold. From the 1850  gold rushes to the innovation and development of deep quartz mines in Bendigo and Ballarat in the late 1800s.

Energetic and innovative companies are still out there chasing gold discoveries while we are also home to successful mining operations.

Mandalay Resources operates the successful Costerfield Mine which produces gold and the little known mineral Antimony. We are delighted to hear from Mandalay at our upcoming Cutting Edge series on Tuesday May 16 starting at 5.30 pm.

While Mandalay is producing the yellow metal, our fellow speakers at the May Cutting Edge, Stavely Minerals and Navarre Minerals, are aggressively exploring for gold and copper in the west of Victoria. These two companies are leading the charge to find Victoria’s next source of precious metals. Both are searching in the Ararat and Stawell regions.

If you want to know more about these companies, join the Melbourne Mining Club members and guests at the Town Hall on May 16. Entry is free, but registration is essential
