Our story
A forum for the most important conversations in resources
Founded in 2001, the Melbourne Mining Club is a not-for-profit joint venture between the Minerals Council of Australia and AusIMM, guided by a volunteer steering committee.
The club exists as a forum to discuss the most important topics facing the global resources industry. We invite speakers from major resource companies, leading service providers and government to address members and guests, sparking the candid conversations that shape the sector.

Championing the next generation
Since its inception the club has donated more than $940,000 to education foundations, supporting the people who will lead the resources industry of tomorrow.
Students attend every luncheon, sitting alongside senior leaders, investors and advisers, and the club funds their attendance so the next generation is always in the room.
