Victorian Women in Resources Awards 2025

  Victorian Women in Resources Awards 2025 Applications and nominations are now open for the 2025 Victorian Women in Resources Awards.   The Victorian Women in Resources Awards recognise and promote diversity across Victoria’s minerals industry.   Applications are open to employees of companies or organisations working across the Victorian minerals industry, including mine equipment, technology and services and energy.   There are six categories for individuals and companies, including Exceptional Woman in Resources, Exceptional Young Woman in Resources, Outstanding Australian Trade Operator or Technician, Gender Diversity Champion Award, Diversity Program Award and Technological Innovation Award.   Winners in each category are elevated to finalists in the National Women in Resources Awards.   Information on the awards and nominations forms are on the website: https://minerals.org.au/about/mca-vic/victorian-women-in-resources-awards/

Victorian Women in Resources Awards 2024

The Minerals Council of Australia (Victorian Division) is proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Victorian Women in Resources Awards. The Victorian Women in Resources Awards recognise and promote diversity across Victoria’s minerals industry. The awards are open to employees of companies or organisations working across the Victorian minerals industry, including mine equipment, technology and services and energy. They recognise the professional success, leadership, and advocacy of women working in the Victorian resources sector. Congratulations to: Exceptional Young Woman in Resources - Shannon Brown  (GSV) Exceptional Woman in Resources - Fiona Czuczman  (S2 Resources) Outstanding Tradeswoman/Operator Technician- Alina Miller (Deepcore) Inclusion and Gender Diversity Champion- Felicity Davy (Agnico Eagle) The winner in each category becomes a finalist in the National Women in Resources Awards, held in September in Canberra during Minerals Week. At the awards night held in Ballarat in late June, each winner participated in a panel discussion about their entry into the sector, people and environments that had a positive impact on them and the subsequent opportunities they themselves have had to be a positive influence in the resources sector. Congratulations Leigh Clifford AC

The Melbourne Mining Club wishes to congratulate our co-patron Leigh Clifford AC on his elevation to Companion of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. Mr Clifford was elevated from Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for eminent service to business in the aviation, arts and education sectors, to the community through charitable support and scholarships, and for philanthropic contributions.
